Musicians and athletes are probably my favorite subjects. Why? I like the drama surrounding their personas. Sports and entertainment are occupations of performance. People have the chance to recreate themselves – to become a character. It’s an idea that fascinates me.

These are shots of UFC fighter Gerald Harris. Like many fighters, he’s a totally calm, nice guy in real life, but becomes a ferocious warrior when he enters the ring.
