The July issue of Oklahoma Magazine features quite a few shots by Yours Truly. A wakeboarder named Kelton Collins. A Hall of Fame pro wrestler Cowboy Bill Watts. Two music veterans Wes Reynolds and Watermelon Slim.
Above, Kelton Collins invited me along for training on Lake Skiatook. It did not suck to be on the boat. Not at all. And, as you can see, he’s pretty good at wakeboarding. The shots above are outtakes that were not used.

This is “Cowboy” Bill Watts {website}, a famous pro wrestler from yesteryear. He held various titles for years and wrestled with the greats like Junkyard Dog, Gorilla Monsoon, and Andre the Giant. Cowboy Bill was recently inducted into the pro wrestling Hall of Fame.

Above is Wes Reynolds {website}, who has worked with so many of the greats of early Rock and Roll and Country music from Jerry Lee Lewis and Wanda Jackson to Bo Diddley. I really enjoyed hearing the many great stories Wes had to tell. This shot of Wes was not used in the article. Make sure to check out the printed magazine to see the shot that ran.

This funky cat is blues man Watermelon Slim {website}. I used to watch him play in Stillwater a decade ago. He’s a really interesting man with a lot to say, and loads of unique style. He being in Oklahoma City and me in Tulsa, we decided to meet in the middle in Chandler, OK. I arrived a bit early to scout and found some fitting locations for his music.

The shots above and below were not used in the article. Make sure and check out the printed edition to see the shots that ran for the article.

I love the old rustic backgrounds and how you bring out the colors in the pictures.
