Wanda Jackson, the First Lady of Rock N Roll, will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tomorrow, April 4, 2009 along side Run-DMC, Metallica, Jeff Beck and others. I’ve had the privilege to shoot portraits of Wanda on two occasions over the last year, once for the Tulsa World, and once for Oklahoma Magazine.

These photos were made at Wanda’s recent performance at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, OK. It was a great night. I brought my Mom and Granny with me to witness the historic concert. Wanda nailed the performance with her warm personality and a natural stage presence. And yes, she can still shake it.
