TONIGHT, April 2, 2008, The Uglysuit’s song “Chicago” will be featured tonight on the series finale of NBC’s “ER”. This is the latest in a string of Oklahoma based bands who are breaking on TV shows and commercials.

I’ve had the opportunity to get to know the band over the past few months, first for this shoot for an upcoming feature in Oklahoma magazine, and at SXSW. If you get the chance, see The Uglysuit live. These guys really love what they do, and it shows on stage.
Funny story about the shot below. It will certainly not get printed. We were setting up for the shot, and there were several dogs playing in the courtyard of this apartment complex. One one them, obviously the Beagle below, had ‘Spring Fever’ – he was making not-so-subtle overtures toward his fellow canines.

I said “Wouldn’t it be great if we could get the dogs to hump in the foreground?” It was totally a joke, but we called them over just to be funny. They were happy to perform for us. It happened pretty fast, you can tell my focus was way off, but it was hilarious. One of those ‘magical’ moments, ha!
