About Jeremy Charles
A documentarian of the vivid life lived, Jeremy Charles is a Midwest-based photographer specializing in advertising, editorial assignments, music and architecture. He's best known for creative portraits of musicians, public figures and athletes.
"Although informed by my former career as a designer, ultimately the love of music brought me to photography, " says Jeremy. "All I ever wanted was to be a rock star. Well it turns out that I suck at music, but I found a way into that world with photography. I simply followed my passion. Since then, the camera has opened many avenues, and has allowed me to live the life of my dreams."
Born and raised in the ranch lands of Northeast Oklahoma in a town called Oologah (a Cherokee word meaning 'Dark Cloud'). He now lives in Tulsa, OK with wife Jenny and daughter Lillian.
Inconsequential Factoids
Nerds Out about: music, documentaries, sunsets, strange humans, nature, the Olympics, bacon and barbecue.
Fears: heights, dancing, milk that I didn't purchase firsthand, redheads.
2009, 2010 Tulsa's Absolute Best Photographer
From the Urban Tulsa Weekly -"This one makes us proud. You see, we knew Jeremy Charles long before you guys decided to vote him your favorite photographer in Tulsa. He began shooting for UTW six years ago, and we've enjoyed watching him grow and develop as an artist.
Now, with his own business and more gigs than he can count, Charles is proving you right -- he really is one of Tulsa's best photographers."
